We have Solomon Coyle certified project managers on our staff, a prestigious distinction that indicates that each of these professionals has undergone extensive training, attended various seminars on the latest project management techniques, and passed a battery of tests to prove mastery of the subject.
Our project managers are involved from the very beginning of your project and assume responsibility for project implementation and cost control. In addition, other responsibilities of your project manager include:
• Reviews and analyzes all status reports including purchase order status, open items, delivery status, post-move status and “punch item” process
• Coordinates drawing reviews with project team
• Prepares project schedule
• Manages project coordinator’s activities and daily reports
• Attends project construction meetings
• Schedules and coordinates furniture delivery and installation
• Conducts final punch walk-throughs with all parties involved
Our project team utilizes a unique process different from other furniture dealers. The Last Mile approach has proven to significantly reduce overall installation time by 25% and identify potential road blocks early which results in a smoother, more efficient installation. We find that pre-planning is a key to controlling costs and a successful project. Your project manager identifies milestones (e.g. Design, Order Entry, Scheduling, Installation and Final Punch) and ensures team members deliver their respective action items on time.
Project Management Tools
Our Project Managers utilize PlanGrid to interact with all parties involved in the installation process. With this tool, they can interact with the foreman on site, send team members any updates to the floor plan and address any issues and punch list items in real-time.
Updated progress reports are emailed out to the appropriate team members for an overview of that days work as well as the work for the following day with supporting images. This is an excellent way for team members of all levels to stay informed as to the progress and status of the installation.
